Automatic log feeding machine

The automatic log feeding machine is a device used to automatically load logs onto processing equipment, and is used in conjunction with a band saw carriage.

Its main function is to transport logs forward from the stacking or storage area and position them at the feeding location of the processing equipment. It can replace manual loading by workers before sawing. The loading rack can store multiple logs simultaneously, and is controlled by a log turning mechanism and a conveyor chain, ensuring that there is always one log ready in the log turning component for continuous feeding and processing by the band saw carriage.

Product Advantages:

  1. Increased Production Efficiency: The automatic loading system enables fast and accurate loading of logs, ensuring a continuous supply of logs throughout the production process. This saves time on manual lifting and transportation, improving the utilization rate of processing equipment and overall production efficiency.
  2. Reduced Labor Intensity: The automatic loading system reduces the need for manual operation, lowering the labor intensity and physical exertion of operators, and improving the safety and comfort of the working environment.
  3. Space Saving: The automatic loading system allows for three-dimensional stacking and positioning of logs, making full use of storage areas and production space, thus saving on land and warehousing costs.
  4. Customizable Specifications: The system offers flexibility in choosing log lengths with minimal limitations, and the spacing between individual racks can be adjusted according to specific needs.

Main component and functions

  1. Log Turning Knife Holder Assembly:

The log turning action is controlled by a log turning cylinder located below.  It works in conjunction with the carriage to grasp the logs according to electrical control commands. A cushioning device is placed beneath the log turning knife holder, significantly extending the equipment’s lifespan.

  1. Log Turner:

Driven by a motor and a toothed chain, the log turning action is completed by a cylinder controlling the lifting and lowering of the rear end.

  1. Transport Single Frame:

The single frame is equipped with driving and driven sprockets at the front and rear, driven by a motor via coaxial transmission.
